HomeStrip Paint & Varnish Remover

HomeStrip is a water-based, solvent-free paint and varnish remover that strips multiple layers of paint, varnish and old finishes back to a clean surface, ready for repainting. Apply a generous coat, cover and leave it to dwell, then simply scrape and wipe away — no neutralising step, no strong fumes, and safe to use indoors without ventilation equipment.

It’s the eco-friendly alternative to traditional solvent-based strippers: non-toxic, biodegradable, and gentle enough for family homes, yet effective enough to lift years of built-up paint from wood, brick, metal, stone and masonry.

Yes. HomeStrip is designed to strip multiple layers of paint, varnish and old finishes in a single application.

No. HomeStrip leaves surfaces clean and ready for a fresh coat, with no neutralising step required.

Yes. HomeStrip is a low-odour, water-based formula that’s safe to use indoors without ventilation equipment.

HomeStrip works on white uPVC only. It may etch other plastics such as polycarbonate or Perspex, so always spot-test an inconspicuous area first.

Leave the product to dwell under plastic sheeting for up to 24 hours, depending on the number of paint layers. Do not let it dry out while it’s working.

HomeStrip covers approximately 4–6m² per litre, compared to roughly 1–2.5m² per litre for many solvent-based removers — meaning less product is needed per project.
