Tom Walker is an artist who graduated from the MA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths University in 2006. He works in a variety of media from painting and drawing, to film and photography and has exhibited nationally and internationally. His most recent body of work is focused on using Home Strip paint stripper to re-work found images in glossy magazines and on large format digital prints.  The works are focused on the moment just before destruction,  about what’s going to happen next. The gaze is fractured and it holds the viewer in a state of suspension. The resulting images are both an act of destruction (half-erased) and a feat of creation (half done) – they are the irrevocable alteration of an image to reveal something new in its place.
